At Thorns Primary School, we are proud to have a dedicated Forest School area that every year group uses throughout the year. Our outdoor classroom provides children with opportunities to explore, discover, and connect with nature.

Every child enjoys one full day of Forest School each half term, giving them regular time to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills in a natural environment.

Our qualified Forest School Practitioner, Mrs. Root, visits school to lead exciting outdoor learning experiences. Her activities are engaging, purposeful, and always lots of fun all children look forward to their Forest School days!
